What do you think of this gift for my bridesmaids?
We're having a wedding in late October next year along the East Coast. It's supposed to be very beautiful there that time of year, but also cold. I was thinking of crocheting scarves in the colors of the bridesmaid dresses for the girls to have the day of the wedding to keep warm before and after the ceremony. I haven't started on this project yet though. I'm just curious on people's opinions for this gift idea.
I taught myself to crochet 7 years ago. I'm decent at it. My scarves look nice or so I've been told. People have asked me to make one for them before.
I like it! It's different than the tired old 'jewelry to wear with the dress' or one of those tacky personalized gifts from Things Remembered.
Not only will it remind them of you and show how much you really care, but it will be functional too.

P.S. Just because it's in the color of the bridesmaid dress doesn't mean it has to be worn only with the dress. They can think of you wearing jeans, cross-country skiing, etc.
