what is the ring thingy?
And how advanced are you? I've been crocheting since I was 3 (23 now) and I still can't understand patterns unless there are step by step pictures to go with it. If you are trying to make the egg, it's very easy. it's just a chain then slip stitch into a ring and single crochets all around till desired size, along with the white.
What else were you looking to create? If you go to a bookstore or craftstore, they have these books there and some may have good pictures for you to follow.
Also these dolls are very basic - meaning learning how to make balls(for heads, feet, noses, bodies) and long limbs. There are a TON of books for making dolls from crocheting like bears and stuff and if you do searches for step by step patterns on making dolls and practice making tubes for arms and legs and round balls for heads and stuff, you could make any type of amigurumi doll because you will now understand the pattern or if not, you will be able to wing it. these patterns are new-at least to the USA so there probably aren't too many help sites for making these dolls.
