why don't we knit, and crochet our own sweaters and all the sweaters for society to sell?
because if we hand-knit them when they get used or too small, we can take them back apart and reuse the yarn. one thing you cannot do, or is very hard to do with machine knitted sweaters and stuff.

that is NOT a good excuse. people will ALWAYS have time in their day, even if it is 10 minutes to do just a small amount of knitting or crocheting. i have never mat a single person or even ever heard about a single person in my life who did not have time to knit.
even people in WW1 and also in the concentration camps had time to knit or crochet.
Machines are now making them out of pre cut yarn which would look weird and take a lot of time to tie together. The time that it takes to make them would never be recovered when selling our hand made. When we give a reasonable price people argue that it is tooooooooooooo much to pay when they can buy cheaper at the store.
I only make things like this for my family or friends IF they buy the material and if I have to ship it --reimbursement since there are are a lot of people are on limited income.
